Lotte World

From subway to mall to... giant skating rink? This place is huge. We stopped for a few moments and watched the skaters frolicing below.

If one so chooses, you can take a pseudo balloon ride all around the complex.

A marching band performs brassy christmas tunes on the ice. I am impressed by their music as well as their ability to stand upright on a very slippery surface.

My first glimpse of Lotte World after climbing the escalator.

Tis the season. The whole place was Christmased up the wazzoo! I remember thinking to myself "It's not even Thanksgiving yet" before remembering where I was.

We encounter a Christmas parade. These fine chaps are dressed like British noblemen. Yeah, I was a bit confused myself!

After enjoying a few rides on the inside, we venture out into the cold to try out the famous "Atlantis!" ride. Here's a shot from below.

A handy monorail transports people from one part of Lotte World to the other.

A fearsome creature guards the way into Atlantis!

Two out of every five girls at Lotte World are wearing ears of some sort. This young lady is wearing bunny ears.

We brave the Lotte World folk museum... and encounter a pack of wild cavemen!

We befriend the natives by helping them gather leaves.

We also help them hunt.

Ancient Korean clothes on display at the folk museum.

An ancient Korean school. I wonder if they learned english there.

A little girl climbs the fake rocks alongside a fountain.

A panoramic shot of Lotte World. I managed to snag a bit of the monorail zooming past.

The Lotte World marching band entertains us by dressing up like Germans.

On line for a roller coaster. See if you can spot the girl with the bunny ears!

Going down? A short video clip from Lotte World's glass elevator.

Christmas Parade ahoy! Some girls dressed in Santa costumes caper past.

The only word I can think of to describe these girls are "reindeer jesters". They've got Jester costumes on, and they're wearing antlers... so yeah. Reindeer Jesters.
